About

I am a composer and sound designer for interactive media, film and TV, based in Toronto, Canada. My musical compositions are often sound design driven, calling on a range of source materials including analog and digital synthesis, electric and acoustic instruments, handmade devices and found sounds. This music and sound design has been used for background scores, promos and special effects for TV and film trailers in the U.S., Canada and across the globe.

I've had a consistent presence in Toronto’s improvising music scene since I moved here from New York in 2007. I use a laptop as both a musical instrument and live remix tool, performing with internationally renowned artists including Fred Frith, Gino Robair and Sylvie Courvoisier as well as many musicians in Toronto’s new music scene. I'm involved with a number of ongoing projects including UXO, MiMo, Rob's Collision and others...

I am also a soundware (sample library) developer. My company Millertone creates sample-based virtual instruments for Native Instruments Kontakt, Ableton Live and Logic Pro. I have contributed to best selling sample libraries for Big Fish Audio including Found Percussion and Chill 2.
